I believe the number one benefit of application virtualization is the ability for programs to run on a variety of operating systems with no probem whatsoever. I just bought a new computer with Vista and almost none of my old programs will install properly on my new computer. I had a Mac by the way. So if all applications were made properly with application virtualization then I would not be having this problem.

I am sure there are a lot of othere pros to application virtualization. Feel free to give more examples.
